Yamble Reserve, a “suburban oasis”, has formally planted gardens and deciduous trees that provide autumn colour. Picnic shelters are located on lawns that can be used to kick a ball while the barbecue is cooking. Two parking areas are available. The one located off Clermont Avenue is accessible for those with mobility limitations. One gazebo is available for hire.

Yamble Reserve located in Ryde NSW is an enormous park with large areas of grassy lawns. It also contains this huge and beautiful playground.

This playground was built in 2013 by Ryde Council and the Touched By Olivia Foundation. This playspace is inclusive and is open to all members of the community, regardless of age or ability.

Livvi’s Place offers an inclusive playground for children of all abilities where they can socialise, play and learn together. Livvi’s Place blends traditional play equipment and purpose-built landscape elements to create a safe outdoor environment for children.

Design features include themed play zones that provide stimulation, calm, and sensory interest for children with intellectual, physical, and emotional disabilities.

This playground has a dizzying array of equipment. A very long double-flying fox is featured in this playground. One seat has a full harness and the other has a large rope pyramid roundabout. There’s also a lower roundabout. A large sandpit, birds nest swing, spinning dish, and a car can be climbed all over the place are some of the other features. You can play in the tunnel and there is a large area with rubber softfall that has handholds. This is great for those with mobility problems.

The themed play zones provide both stimulating and calming activities. The quieter part of the playground features a beautiful collection of pole artworks as well as the most stunning animal sculptures. There are many opportunities to explore the park by touch.

Livvi’s Place can be found at Yamble Reserve, Quarry Road, Ryde. A carpark is attached to Quarry Road and offers plenty of parking spaces.
